The first sex toy for the Apple Watch is here

It crowdfunded its $10,000 target in just 24 hours

Apple Watch wearers will be used to the device’s wrist-tapping alerts, but soon the smartwatch will be able to deliver a whole different type of physical stimulation – through a vibrating sperm-shaped sex toy.

The New York-based sex toy manufacturer Lovense reached its $10,000 Indigogo crowdfunding target in just 24 hours this week, and has since almost tripled that figure. Clearly, a lot of curious tech fans are keen to try out this almost silent, hands-free device.

Described on its crowdfunding page as ideal “for solo play, discreet public fun or long distance couples,” the Blush Vibe will be the first sex toy that can be controlled by Apple Watch, although it will also be controllable by smartphone.

The vibrator can be controlled by Bluetooth from a distance of up to 30 feet, and via the internet at any distance. Partners can also message each other and give or receive vibration commands through the Lovense app.

According to Lovense, the option to use an Apple Watch offers “increased discreetness,” especially when partners control the device in public spaces; “more mobility,” as using the watch rather than a phone or controller lets you keep both hands free; and an “extended connection range,” as Apple Watches and iPhones can sync over wifi.

Users will also be able to customise, upload and share their own vibration patterns, and sync the vibrators to music.

The Blush Vibe is currently supported by most iPhones, iPads and Android phones, and is USB-rechargeable.

Units are still available from $59 on Indigogo and can be purchased anonymously.

Lovease also post their products in plain packaging so you can have your package sent to work worry-free (unless you work at HSBC, Citigroup or JP Morgan, that is.)
