Bethesda and Carlsberg team up to create a Fallout beer

Carlsberg don't do videogames, but if they did...

Pretty soon you’ll be able to start your very own bottle cap collection, as Bethesda and Carlsberg team up to release a Fallout and Vault-Tec inspired beer before the release of Fallout 4 on November 10th. They really want you hyped up for this release.

Bethesda are describing the beer as having “a refreshing zesty hoppy taste and a floral aroma.” Not flavours we particularly associate with the Wasteland, but it’s hard to imagine a beverage with a radioactive sludge taste and a swamp ghoul aroma would sell well. It will be sold in 330ml bottles, and available on Amazon for £29.99 for a case of 12. You’ll be able to get your hands on the beer from November 5th, giving you plenty of time to order and have some bottles chilled and waiting for you to start up Fallout 4 on the 10th. The bottles look really quite nice, so if you do decide to buy them, you should definitely consider turning them into drinking glasses you can actually keep and use again.

This promotion is an interesting first for a videogames franchise, but as much as we like the idea, we can’t help but think some cases of Nuka-Cola might have had wider appeal.
