It’s not everyone that’ll be able to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens as soon as they’d like. For some, there will be an agonising few days, maybe even weeks, knowing that the film they so desperately want to see has been released but they can’t be watching it because of other commitments. And for those people, the internet is a very dangerous place. It’s like a haunted house where with every click you’re waiting for spoiler monsters to emerge, or an uneven geyser field, where one wrong step could send you stumbling into a face-melting spoiler explosion. You get where I’m going with this, spoilers are extremely not wanted for an event this huge. You’d think that’d just be a generally accepted fact with an established etiquette that is rigorously followed.
Unfortunately, it’s not. Sometimes people just can’t help themselves, and whether it’s an accident or deliberate it’s difficult to forgive them. Sometimes you’d rather not see reviews either, you’d rather form your own opinion before reading someone else’s. So, keep yourself safe from spoilers and press opinions with this handy Chrome extension called Force Block: the Star Wars spoiler blocker. The extension blocks pages that could possibly contain spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and replaces them with some of your favourite Star Wars quotes.
Thus far, the extension seems to have worked for me as promised, so if the last thing in the world you want to see is a spoiler for Star Wars, or maybe you’re just really fucking sick of people talking about it and you want to see it gone like Alderaan then you can find the extension here.
