Geeky find of the week: retro gaming flasks

Perfect for storing that 'health potion'

Our geeky find of the week this week combines three things we love: retro games, alcohol, and puns. These flasks from Ink Whiskey have been designed to look like NES cartridges so you can swig your ‘health potion’ and reminisce about the good ol’ days. There’s a selection of flasks to choose from; the overall shape is the same but there’s a different punning game title on each one. Are you a Fine-Ale Fantasy fan? Or do you prefer a quick shot of Tetriquila?

The great thing about the NES cartridge shape is that it actually transfers pretty well into being a concealable flask, flat enough to slide into a coat or handbag pocket. Or you could display it proudly alongside your drink collection. The flasks cost $20 each (around £14) plus $12.50 (£9) shipping to the UK.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the creation of the flasks, Ink Whiskey have also extended their line of products to include less concealable items, including warp pipe shot glasses and Mega Man double pint glasses.

The pint glass is $20 (£14) for one and the shot glasses come in a pack of 4 for $15 (£10).

So, whether you’re looking for a gift for the retro gamer in your life or just a gift for yourself, it’s definitely worth checking these out. Mostly, we just love the puns. Are you ready to get super smashed, bros?
