50 words that should exist in English

"Stop being such an extrawurst"

We enjoy all flavours of geekery here at Gadgette, and linguistic geekery is one of our favourite types (especially me, who spent 3 years studying Linguistics and was most proud to come out able to sing Rudolph the Red-Noised Reindeer in Old English).

So this giant infographic from Morningside Translations is right up our alley, so to speak. It’s 50 brilliant words that exist in other languages but not English. And some of them we really, really need. Especially tsundoku.

Prepare to scroll:

As we all know, English is a beautiful smorgasbord of words from different languages, so if you’ve taken a liking to any of these, just start using it. Maybe it’ll catch on.
