It’s too hot to actually go to the shops, so this is the stuff we’ll be lazily clicking Buy on this week*.
*in our fantasies where we actually have money
1) Ultimate Lens Hood
Simple but necessary, this stretchy silicone cone attaches to your camera or smartphone lens and cuts out all the reflections when you’re taking photos through a window. Anyone who’s ever tried to get a decent shot of the view from the Shard will want one of these.
£25 (early bird) on Kickstarter
2) Moon Mousse
One of the saddest experiences in any makeup-wearer’s life is the heartbreak of dropping an eyeshadow that shatters into a billion tiny pieces on the floor.
But! There is hope! This kit promises to repair everything from blushers to bronzers, with a mousse that reunites the particles plus both round and square pressing tools to get that just-bought flat-topped finish back. We need it.
3) Pastel Jammy Dodger cushions
The amazing Nicki McWilliams makes all manner of gorgeous things, many of them biscuit-themed. This set of all four of her pastel Jammy Dodger cushions would make any living room sparkle, and while it’s pricey due to the craftsmanship, you do get a discount over buying them separately. Also, unlike many ‘cushions’ sold online, you also get the pads inside and not just the covers.
4) Skechers Liquid Bling Rose Gold trainers
We’re not over rose gold and we may never be. These beautiful liquid-look trainers by Skechers have ribbons for laces (hope your bow game is strong because that makes it easier for them to come undone, FYI) and are perfect for looking classy while casual and comfortable.
5) Anker 5-in-1 USB hub
If you’ve got a tiny laptop (like my beautiful new HP Envy x2 Snapdragon edition 😍😍) that has a USB-C port but not much else, you need one of these. Three USB 3.0 ports, one 4K HDMI and gigabit ethernet. Admittedly, no one likes having to carry dongles about, but for maximum connectivity at home, this is priceless.
